PowerSchool, a student information system used by educational institutions worldwide, experienced one of the largest breaches impacting school districts across North America. On January 7th, PowerSchool notified their customers that they became aware of an “incident” in late December 2024 in which an unauthorized party gained access to customer data, including the personal data of 62.4 million students and 9.5 million teachers.
